As more and more controversy grows over the ban of assault rifles, the state of Texas does something different by enacting a bill that charges teens and adults for not owning a gun. Alex Rogers age 15, has been the first to be arrested.

After being pulled over by police for undisclosed reasons, Rogers and his father Steve were asked to step out of the vehicle. According to officers, during the pat down they noticed Alex was unarmed. The teenager was given a concealed carry permit late last year but has yet to use it. Alex Rodgers was booked by El Paso police without confrontation and bail was posted at $100,000.
