Building a wall at the boarder of a country is no new thing and has been around for centuries.
The Great Wall of China is over thirteen-thousand miles long and has been in place since before Christ. The wall was built not only for defensive reasons, but border control as well. Geographically it stretches from east to west and encompasses nearly all of China. Although it has had many names over the years, its most recent and prestigious one is that of simply The Great Wall. What makes it so great is not only its length, but its cultural significance. Tourists still flock to the attraction and learn about a culture completely foreign to now which is why it is named one of the wonders of the world.
